AUSTIN'S OLD BIO
Meet 16-year-old, Austin Raabe. Austin has grown up in the Playhouse singing with Mama Pajama since the age of five. Today, he is Mama Pajama's guitarist and also sings, lead and backing vocals. You can see Rockin’ Raabe perform at early evening, weekend, and summer shows. Austin studied guitar at Apex Musical Instruction. He has performed in his school’s winter and spring musical concerts and musicals for the past several years and enjoyed playing the Pirate Captain in "How To Be A Pirate In 7 Easy Songs", Santa in his school chorus holiday concert, "Santa's Holiday Playlist," Smokey Robinson and Four Tops member in "A Motown Revue," Tarzan in his school musical production of "Tarzan," Caractacus Potts in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," Willy Wonka in "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory" and performed in his Junior High School and High School Talent Shows to a packed house. Austin maintains high honors in all of his subjects. He has received numerous awards, including the Optimist award from the Cicero-North Syracuse Optimist Club 2012 and 2015 as well as the AAA Safety Patrol Honor Award. Austin is a member of his school’s Advanced Orchestra - double bass), and has been a Student Council member and a member of his school Band (Bass guitar). He was a member of Tenuto Men's Ensemble with the Syracuse Children's Chorus "SCC" as well as a member of a select group of SCC members who were chosen to be an acapella singing group. He studied privately with DaJon "DJ" James, Former Director of SCC's Tenuto and Director and Arranger of Syracuse University's men's acapella group, Otto Tunes. He has also volunteered helping his fellow classmates with special needs as well as working with kindergartners. He has volunteered the past few years at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in many capacities; from organizing the copy room to performing at services. Austin attends CNS High School and is in the 10th grade. He is a member of his school's Drama Club, recently performing in the high school spring musical performance "Oklahoma" (Ensemble), Advanced Orchestra, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, W3B, participated in All-County (Double Bass) as well as Principal's Cabinet. He won Onondaga County's #1 Tenor for All County and won a NY State level Vocal Solo Award representing his school. He was recently accepted into the ever-growing Positivity Project around the nation. When he is not performing, he loves hanging out with his dog Lucy, family and friends. He loves jumping on his trampoline, playing basketball, film making, cooking, taking selfies, paranormal, building websites, camping, running, reading, genealogy, movie and game nights, gaming, photography, sausage pizza and ice cream. Mama Pajama's Playhouse welcomes Tim McFarland to our team. Tim serves as Technical Director for Mama Pajama’s Playhouse. Prior to joining MPP, he worked in management for several companies. Tim’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive, conscientiousness and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. His most recent project involved a strategic partnership between Dream Girl Publishing and Mama Pajama’s Playhouse core services to the fast-growing Central New York children's music market. Tim studied business and is currently enrolled full-time as an Accounting major working towards his goal of CPA. Tim lives in Fulton, New York. Aside from his positions with Dream Girl Publishing, LLC. and Mama Pajama’s Playhouse, he has worked for Huhtamaki for the past twelve years. In his free time, Tim likes spending time with his family and friends, cooking, travel, and is quite a movie buff.
